As you'll be able to guess, I am especially fascinated by human/hawk relationships. I hope I get the chance to add to those fanlistings soon.

Sadly, there's not much screentime for Ardeth and Horus before the bird gets shot. Nontheless, it is a beautiful relationship. Ardeth completely trusts his hawk and is very protective of him. A truly special bond.

I've always loved the legend of Tristan. The character as portrayed in the 2004 film King Arthur is totally different, but great nontheless. A special part of him is the relationship to his hawk. Not being overly social in general, the scout openly shows affection for his bird which he clearly regards as a close friend.

Two Worlds, One Family


Subject: Chingachgook, Uncas and Nathaniel 'Hawkeye' Poe

Although based on the books by James Fenimore Cooper, this fanlisting focuses on the above mentioned relationship as displayed in the 1992 movie. The difference is, that Hawkeye is not an old scout in this one, but the adopted brother of Uncas. This strengthens the message that two different people can not only live peacefully together, but come to like another to the point of forming strong family bonds. I love the caring between those three characters in the movie, although you have to look closely to detect it in small things such as looks, smiles and some teasing words.
